GILCHRIST CO., FL (WTXL) - Two Suwannee County residents are in the hospital with serious injuries after a Tuesday crash in Gilchrist County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Danny Rogers and his passenger Cynthia Rogers were driving a Chevy pickup on US 129.
Danny suffered a medical condition and lost consciousness while driving, according to FHP.
Troopers say the passenger tried to regain control of the truck but it eventually hit a tree on the shoulder of the road.
Both people were taken to Shands in Gainesville and are suffering from serious injuries.
