TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - There is no place like home for the holidays and Tuesday leaders with the City of Tallahassee and Big Bend Habitat for Humanity are presenting house keys to families in the Capital City.
For the past two months, city employees have been constructing two homes in southwest Tallahassee.
WTXL was there as the families were given the keys to their new homes.
Construction on McArthur Street officially began on August 19. Since then, city employees have volunteered their time on Fridays and Saturdays to complete the homes.
Overall, employees have donated at least 1300 hours to the project.
