TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida State University Police Department says they will be conducting two DUI checkpoints on campus on Thursday.

The first will be held on Convocation Way from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. The second will be held on the 700 block of W. Jefferson St. from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

They say officers will be conducting a DUI saturation patrol around FSU campus until 3:00 a.m.

“Impaired driving is a serious threat to the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and the community at large,” said Chief David Perry of the FSU Police Department.  “We will arrest anyone we discover operating a vehicle under the influence. We don’t give warnings for DUI.”

FSUPD recorded 67 DUI arrests in 2016 and 59 arrests so far in 2017.
