Two people are dead in Louisiana and one in Mississippi after severe weather swept through Gulf Coast states Wednesday morning, according to ABC News.
WDAM is reporting that a 73-year-old man named Harris Dale Purvis was confirmed dead by the Lamar County coroner in Mississippi.
In Convent, Louisiana, ABC is reporting that a trailer park was destroyed by a reported tornado in the area according to the St. James Parish Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff there confirmed two people died, seven were injured and 30 were wounded, says the network.
Red Cross volunteers were in the area Wednesday morning to assist those affected by the storm damage, according to WGNO.
Tuesday evening, the affiliate also reported that search and rescue crews were hampered by large amounts of debris. Dogs were being used to locate people trapped int he debris.
