Two arrested on drug charges in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee woman and a Jacksonville man were arrested on drug charges after a single-vehicle traffic crash Sunday in Jackson County.

Marissa Pearl Morrison, 22, of Tallahassee and Matthew Lagares, 25, of Jacksonville were arrested Sunday when the Florida Highway Patrol came to investigate a crash on I-10 near mile marker 154 eastbound.

During the crash investigation, a trooper found drugs.

Morrison and Lagares face charges of possession of marijuana more than 20 grams, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia (six counts).

They were booked into the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await a first court appearance.
