TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Two people have been arrested, accused of having sex in public at Lake Ella Park.

Mark Herndon and Jennifer Helms were arrested Tuesday evening for indecent exposure and trespassing.

The complainant told Tallahassee Police that she saw them having sex under the pavilion on the southwest side of the park.

The complainant said that her two children, a three-month-old child and 16-year-old, were also present during the incident.

Both Herndon and Helms denied participation in any sexual activity at the park, according to arrest documents.

Based on sworn statements from witnesses, both were arrested and charged.

Police say Herndon was also wanted for failure to appear for a battery charge.
