ECHOLS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL)--Two people are accused of burglarizing Echols County Elementary School.
Echols County Sheriff Randy Courson says 31-year-old Donald Shadix and 46-year-old Tina Sampson took up temporary shelter at an abandoned house near the school.
Deputies say the break-in happened on the night of January 24.
Bags of stolen items were found at a home in Lowndes County, which included thousands of dollars of laptop computers, I-pads, cell phones, rolls of stamps, keyboards, a digital camcorder, and money.
Shadix and Sampson are charged with felony burglary, felony tampering with evidence, and felony theft by receiving stolen property.
