TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Two men have been arrested after police caught one selling drugs to the other at a convenience store.
Tallahassee Police Officers with the Community Oriented Policing & Problem Solving (COPPS) Squad arrested two people at the Quick Stop located at 2460 South Meridian Street on July 15 around 4:10 p.m.
TPD says that people in the area have previously complained about the drug activity in the area.
Officers saw a man on the property across the street from the Quick Stop at 2401 South Meridian Street, Campus Highlands Apartments, and knew he had been issued a trespass warning.
During the investigation at the apartment complex, COPPS members observed a drug transaction at the Quick Stop involving the person who was trespassing at the apartment complex.
When officers talked to the men involved in the drug transaction at the store, they identified them as Bobby Smith and Michael Williams.
After interviewing witnesses and examining the evidence, Williams was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, sell of cocaine, and trespass after warning.
Smith was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, purchase of cocaine, and possession of cannabis under 20 grams.
