Two 15-year-olds arrested for burglaries on Slash Pine Lane, third suspect sought

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office has arrested two 15-year-olds for a burglary on Slash Pine Lane and are seeking a third suspect.

LCSO said that, on the morning of December 14, 2018, deputies responded to a call for a burglary in progress in the 4300 block of Slash Pine Lane.

As deputies arrived, three black males were seen running from the residence. Deputies caught one of the males, a 15 year old, at the scene.

LCSO K-9 deputies responded to assist with finding the other two suspects. While tracking the suspects, the K-9 located evidence outside of nearby residences.

Deputies were unable to locate the remaining two suspects near the scene.

The same day, LCSO detectives were able to identify one of the remaining suspects and arrested him that afternoon.

While the investigation was being conducted, LCSO received a call from another homeowner in the 4300 block of Slash Pine Lane. This house had also been burglarized. Evidence found during the K-9 track was found to have been stolen from this home.

The two teens have been charged with burglary of dwelling (2 counts), grand theft (2 counts) and resisting arrest without violence.

LCSO has been unable to identify the third suspect involved in these incidents. Anyone with information about the investigation is asked to contact Detective Matt Shaut at (850) 606 - 3300.
