TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) -- A local burger joint is giving you another chance to give back.
Monday, November 16th, at Grub Burger Bar, just by mentioning Turkey Drive, part of the proceeds from each meal will go toward America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend.
The restaurant says this event is to make sure everyone in the Big Bend has food on their table come Thanksgiving.
"One of our goals is to get out in the community and help move our community forward and if we can collaborate with WTXL, Second Harvest, and other businesses, we can turn this into something really big, and really has some value if we can get other restaurants to coordinate and maybe lead the charge with us," said Brandon Blanchard of the Grub Burger Bar.
Remember: The Turkey Drive is Thursday, November 19th at Ponce de Leon Park in downtown Tallahassee.
Donating is easy: You don't even have to get out of your car. Just pull up and we'll grab your frozen turkey or cash donation. For 2014, we collected more than 250 turkeys and $3,600. That's enough for 14,480 meals.
