KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) - The Tupperware company is donating $200,000 to develop a new park named after company pioneer Brownie Wise in Osceola County, Florida.
The park will be about four miles from Tupperware's main campus and headquarters near Kissimmee.
The Orlando Sentinel reported Monday (http://bit.ly/29wMEUS) that the Tupperware money will help the county build an information kiosk, canoe and kayak launch, dock area, picnic pavilion and tables, and other improvements.
The county will name the area Tupperware Island Conservation Area, which will include Brownie Wise Park. The information kiosks will feature history and information about Wise and Tupperware.
Tupperware has been a major landowner in Osceola County since moving there in 1953. The company has recently started developing large portions of its 1,300 acres, including a 68-acre retail center called the Crosslands.
