TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - School officials say Tuesday classes are canceled for Leon High School students.
The students were released from school early Monday after the school was evacuated for a fire, according to Leon County Schools.
Students have since been allowed to enter the school to retrieve belongings left during the evacuation.
The district says the fire was self contained in a third floor storage room of the main building. Three classrooms were damaged and will require repair before they can be returned to use.
The Tallahassee Fire Department responded to the fire and was able to put it out.
School officials added that all after-school activities for the school have been canceled with the exception of a Tuesday girl's basketball game which will be held in the gym.
A Monday safety meeting at the school was also canceled, officials saying those resources are being used to work on the fire.
The district says they will let parents know Tuesday if the school will re-open on Wednesday.
