(WTXL) - President Donald Trump says he wants to visit storm-ravaged areas of Florida and Georgia as soon as possible.
"At the same time," Trump said, "I don't want to go down there to where we are interfering with people, first responders, the FEMA people. I want them to focus on the storm, not me."
Trump said he will consider vising the area on Sunday or Monday "to meet with the governors, meet with everybody and do what we have to do."
Trump has spoken to both Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal and pledged to offer any federal resources necessary.
