(ABC Newsone) -- Steve Bannon, the controversial senior counselor to President Trump, was removed from his role with the National Security Council, according to a senior administration official.
Bannon had been given the authority to participate in National Security Council Principals Committee meetings after a memorandum signed by Trump in January, in what some experts then called an "unprecedented" political appointment to the panel.
