Troopers: Woman Killed After Being Hit by Car in Leon County Identified

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Troopers have identified the woman who was killed after being hit by a car on Woodville Highway.

The Florida Highway Patrol said that Lisa Lapenna, 48, was killed while she was walking in the northbound lane of Woodville Highway near Ambush Road early Friday morning.

They said that Kevin Joyner and another passenger were driving in the lane Lapenna was in, hitting her from the behind.

Troopers said that she was pronounced dead on the scene by Leon County EMS. No one else was injured. 

Though they have reported that their was little to no lighting in the area, there are may be charges pending an investigation.
