MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Troopers said that  a Louisiana man is in serious condition after the tread on one of his tires tore apart, causing the car to rollover and crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol said that 40-year-old Mario Raudales from Metairie, Louisiana was driving east on I-10 around 6:30 a.m. when his left rear tire's tread separated.

When that happened, the car began traveling into the paved shoulder and onto the grass. Troopers said that the car spun clockwise in a half turn and rolled off the edge of cement tunnel.

FHP said that the left side of the car then hit a tree and the car finally came to a stop.

Raudales was transported to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for serious injuries.

Troopers said that Raudales will be charged for driving without knowledge of a suspended license.
