HAMILTON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A California man is behind bars at a local jail after troopers pulled him over on I-75 and discovered an "entire grow house operation" in the back of his rental truck.

Tony Goodwin, 41, of Greenwood, California was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol on Wednesday.

According to FHP, on Wednesday at about 4:12 p.m., Goodwin's Penske rental truck was stopped after a FHP trooper saw a moving traffic violation.

While speaking with Goodwin, troopers noticed he was extremely nervous. During their interaction with Goodwin, troopers walked a K-9 around the truck, who gave a positive alert for the odor of drugs.

The search revealed a vape pen with marijuana residue and a marijuana pipe, however they also discovered an entire "grow house operation" in the back of the truck.

Items and equipment found by troopers included 45 large grow lights, water piping, large grow trays, dehumidifiers and electrical wiring.

Goodwin told troopers he was in the process of moving to California to Florida.

He is being charged with felony possession of drug equipment and felony possession of controlled substance without a prescription. Goodwin was taken to the Hamilton County Jail.
