PANAMA CITY, FL (WTXL) - After a missing 2-year-old was found safe with family members in Atlanta, troopers said they have arrested two of the three adults they suspect were traveling with him.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that they arrested Deshena Douglas and Maleek White on Sunday. after 2-year-old Jaiden Jackson was reported missing from his home.
According to the Thomasville Police Department, Jaiden was taken by his grandmother, Douglas, without the permission of his mother on Sept. 20th.
On Sept. 29th, investigators said that the suspects dropped the child off with family in Atlanta and kept running. Troopers arrested Douglas and White in Panama City.
Douglas has been charged with kidnapping and fraud while White was charged with negotiating fraudulent checks. Dana Jackson, the last adult involved in the kidnapping, is still on the run.
