TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A special session begins Monday for Florida lawmakers, to redraw congressional districts which were deemed unconstitutional.

Now, two voting rights groups are demanding that these meetings be open to the public.

The League of Women Voters of Florida and Common Cause Florida released a letter to Senate President Andy Gardiner and House Speaker Steve Crisafulli, saying these meetings should not be held behind closed doors.

WTXL ABC27 Political Contributor Trimmel Gomes sat down with WTXL ABC27 Anchor Abbey Maurer to talk about how this will affect the special session.
