Trial postponed for a defendant in "Quitman 11" voter fraud case

QUITMAN, Ga. (WTXL)--One of the defendants charged in a voter fraud case in quitman will not be in the courtroom tomorrow.

Lula Smart was scheduled to go on trial Monday but her court date has now been postponed.

Smart is one of the so-called "Quitman 11" who is charged with several counts of unlawful possession of absentee ballots during a Brooks County school board election in 2010.

A new trial date hasn't been set. We'll continue to follow this story and bring you the latest.
