LIVE OAK, Fla. (WTXL) - The trial for a former Live Oak officer facing child porn charges has been postponed.
Kyle Kirby will now go before a jury on May 1st.
A judge granted his attorney's request for a continuance last week.
A pre-trial hearing has also been scheduled for April 17th that will mark the deadline for Kirby to enter a plea agreement.
Investigators say they found nearly 90 pictures of child pornography on Kirby's patrol car's computer.
If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in federal prison and a potential life term of supervised release.
