LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - One local company is fighting to prevent drunk driving in Leon County by offering free, safe rides home during the holiday season.

Tri-Eagle Sales, the local Anheuser-Busch and beverage wholesaler for North and North Central Florida, is partnering with Tallahassee’s Yellow Cab to offer complimentary safe rides home.

The campaign aims to curb drunk driving in Leon County during the holiday season.

“Drunk driving is 100 percent preventable, and it’s up to you to do your part this holiday season to keep Tallahassee’s roads safe," said Brittany Foster, Marketing & Communications Manager at Tri-Eagle Sales. "That’s why we’re joining Budweiser to celebrate the holidays by reminding everyone to plan ahead for a safe ride home throughout the holiday season.”

All you have to do is ask the participating restaurant or bar for a voucher to receive a complimentary safe ride home. The voucher is valid for rides from an on-premise retail establishment to a home residence.

The service will be available through New Year’s Day to consumers who live in Leon County. The service is available from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

If you choose to drink, you should always plan ahead for safe transportation and remember to hydrate between alcoholic beverages.
