PERRY, Fla. (WTXL) - A train derailment in downtown Perry is posing no hazard to the public but has blocked some streets, officials said.
"All cars seem empty, no known hazard to public," the City of Perry posted on Facebook.
The city said "Jefferson St. is open. All crossings from Ellis St through Julia Street are blocked and impassible. Closest cross streets are Willow St and Ash Street to cross RR tracks."
The post said the derailment is likedly to be a "several day event" and people should plan their travels accordingly.
