MEDART, FL (WTXL) - A trailer catches fire on its way to a delivery closing U.S. Highway 98 Monday night.
Wakulla County deputies were called to that fire near Five Anchors Drive in the Medart area around 9 p.m.
Officers say while driving, the delivery man noticed his trailer was in flames. That man was on his way to deliver items to a local Dollar General.
Deputies with the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office worked to salvage any possible items that survived the fire. They were able to save dog food that they ended up donating to a local shelter.
Officers say no injuries were reported. Florida Highway Patrol has taken over the investigation into the fire.
