MADISON COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL)--Depending on where you're traveling in Madison County, you may have to take a detour.
All westbound traffic on I-10 at Exit 262/County Road 255 will be diverted off the interstate onto the ramps to allow repairs to the overpass starting Tuesday for about eight days.
Eastbound traffic on I-10 will not be affected.
It's to repair an overpass.
Traffic in the westbound has been reduced to one lane since March 16. The Florida Department of Transportation says a piece of equipment hit the overpass, damaging three beams that support the deck of it.
FDOT says one beam was severely damaged, and must be replaced. Repairs on the other two beams started Saturday.
