TALAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - Due to railroad construction work, StarMetro is rerouting some of its buses. The work is being done by CSX Transportation and involves replacing railroad ties in the City throughout the month of October.
Below are the route changes that will occur during the indicated railroad crossing closure. Please note that the closure dates for each railroad crossing are approximate dates, which are subject to change based on CSX's completion time.
Railroad Avenue Crossing: Moss and Night 5 routes - Now through October 4th.
· Southbound: Bus will detour left on All Saints Street, right on Bronough Street, right on Palmer Avenue, right on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, left on Gamble Street and resume its route.
· Northbound: Bus will detour right on Gamble Street, right on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, left on Palmer Avenue, left on Adams Street, left on Gaines Street, right on Macomb Street and resume its route.
Mabry Street Crossing: Innovation route - Now through October 3rd.
· Southbound: Bus will detour left on Stadium Drive, right on Lake Bradford Road, right on Levy Avenue and resume its route.
· Northbound: Bus will continue east on Levy Avenue, turn left on Lake Bradford Road, left on Stadium Drive and resume its route.
Eisenhower Street Crossing: Live Oak route - Now through October 4th.
· Westbound to Eastbound: Bus will continue west on Jackson Bluff Road, turn right on Capital Circle SW, right on Pensacola Street, right on Nina Road, left on Jackson Bluff Road, right on Rankin Avenue, left on Roberts Avenue, right on Eisenhower Street and resume its route.
Hartsfield Road Crossing: San Luis route - October 15-17th.
· Westbound to Eastbound: From Hartsfield Road, bus will turn left on Mission Road, right on Tennessee Street, right on Pat Thomas Boulevard, left on Mission Road, right on Hartsfield Road and resume its route. There will be no San Luis route service west of Mission Road, including Commonwealth Boulevard.
Tharpe Street Crossing: Forest route - October 15-17th.
· Southbound: Bus will continue south on Mission Road to Appleyard Drive. There will be no service to Blountstown Street.
· Northbound: Bus will continue north on Appleyard Drive to Mission Road. There will be no service to Blountstown Street.
