TIFTON, Ga. (WTXL) - A heads up for drivers in Tifton: Traffic delays are possible starting next week as maintenance on the Interstate 75 overpass is set to begin.
Drivers on U.S. 82 should expect traffic to narrow to one lane approaching the I-75 overpass near exit 62.
Contractors plan to work for seven days a week, painting steel beams and replacing joints to get the job done in just two weeks time.
The work is part of a $1.6 million dollar Georgia DOT project to perform maintenance on 11 bridges in Cook, Crisp, Lowndes and Tift counties.
