TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Tallahassee's 29th annual Winter Festival is Saturday, and set-up is already underway for the holiday tradition.
Eastbound Park Ave is closed from Adams to Duval while crews are getting things ready. That stretch is set to reopen on Thursday, December 10, at noon.
The Winter Festival is Saturday, December 5 from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m., and the City of Tallahassee says some downtown streets will be closed:
- Adams Street between Call & Jefferson; 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- College Avenue between Monroe & Bronough; 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Duval Street between Pensacola & Call; 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Monroe Street between Tennessee & Brevard; 4:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.
- Monroe Street between Tennessee & Madison; 5:45 p.m. - 10 p.m.
- Madison Street between Railroad Avenue & Monroe, 5:45 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Side streets adjacent to the parade route may be closed throughout the day, as well.
StarMetro's Saturday routes will be also affected by these road closures. Route detours will begin when the Tallahassee Police Department starts shutting down the road.
