TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department is asking for help identifying a suspect who used a victim's identity to buy two cellphones.
Police say they are investigating a fraud at the Sprint store at 2264 North Monroe Street. They say the fraud happened on Sept. 17.
At the store, the suspect presented a fraudulent driver's license with the victim's information. Because the victim already had an account with Sprint, the suspect was able to get two phones, both iPhone 8 Plus, on the account.
By fraudulently buying the phones, police say the suspect committed identity theft and grand theft.
If you recognize this person or have any information, you are asked to call Investigator Alwine at 850-891-4577.
