TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Residents of Tallahassee now have a chance to let police know how they feel about the agency.

The Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) announces a community survey to gather feedback on their overall efficiency and effectiveness.

The survey will specifically focus on TPD's use of the Community Oriented Policing Program, otherwise known at COPP.

TPD says the response analysis will help determine how the department's performance is currently viewed and more importantly, it will allow TPD to focus its efforts to the areas most needed and how to improve and grow its community initiatives.

They hope the survey, along with other performance evaluation measures, results in an increased community confidence while enhancing crime fighting efforts in the city.

Residents can take the survey on-line by visiting www.talgov.com/TPDSURVEY or printing a copy and mailing it to the police department from now through march 4, 2015.
