TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A woman has been arrested for DUI after she ran a red light and t-boned a Tallahassee Police patrol car.
According to an arrest document, 21-year-old Karlisia Brown was traveling east on Jackson Bluff Road Wednesday afternoon, going toward the intersection of South Lipona Road when she failed to stop at the red light, hitting the patrol car.
Officers noted in the document that Brown's eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and smelt the odor of alcohol coming from her.
When officers talked to her, Brown told them that she had come from a club, saying that "someone ran the red light and hit me." When she was told that the other car involved was a police vehicle, officers write that she became defensive and belligerent, threatening to sue TPD.
Brown refused to consent to a breathalyzer test and refused medical treatment after arriving at the hospital, therefore she was arrested and charged with two counts of DUI with property damage.
She was transported to the Leon County Jail. Brown has since bonded out.
