TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Tallahassee Police Officer Rachelle Denmark is off the bike and in our studios after the Police Unity Tour.
WTXL checked in with her all week long as officers prepared for the ride.
We also interviewed her via Skype during the three-day bike ride.
Officer Denmark says it was an incredible experience to ride into Washington D.C. Each year, hundreds of law enforcement officers and survivors of loved ones killed in the line of duty participate in the Police Unity Tour.
It's to bring awareness to those who gave their lives to serve others. The tour also raises money for the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Wall and Museum.
