TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee Police Department officer is being nationally recognized by Nextdoor for her use of the app to serve the community.
Many law enforcement agencies use Nextdoor, the neighborhood social network used by over 1,500 law enforcement agencies and 175,000 neighborhoods, to connect with neighbors on a deeper level to engage the community, get to know residents, and keep the places they call home safe.
Officer Rachelle Denmark is receiving national recognition as one of Nextdoor's 2018 Neighborhood Champions for her use of Nextdoor to better serve the Tallahassee community.
Officer Denmark won the recognition based on the amount of appreciation she has received from neighbors in response to her Nextdoor posts.
Nextdoor will be officially honoring Officer Denmark the week of July 23 in an official company announcement and on social media, as the finale to its summer safety campaign.
