TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department is offering females 12 and older a free two-day course about self-defense techniques and risk avoidance.
The Rape Aggression Defense class begins Saturday, March 17, and runs from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. It concludes the following Saturday, March 24, from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Participants must attend both dates to complete the course.
Each class is limited, and registrations are required. To register, call Sgt. Maria Mercurio at (850) 891-4974 or TPD's Crime Prevention Unit at (850) 891-4251.
Classes will be taught at the Lincoln Neighborhood Center, 438 West Brevard Street Tallahassee, FL 32301.
