TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - You've heard of K-9s taking down the bad guy, and now some citizens got to witness it up close.
The Tallahassee Police Department's K-9 unit showed off what all the dogs can do in front of the TPD Citizens Academy participants.
They demonstrated and explained how the German Shepherd's can sniff out drugs as well as how they can take down a suspect.
Meanwhile, one of our co-workers is taking part in the Citizens Academy.
