TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a shooting at Seminole Grand apartments that left a victim with critical injuries. 

Police were called to the 1500 block of West Tharpe Street around 1 p.m. Friday. 

When officers and emergency personnel arrived, they provided immediate medical attention to a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. 

TPD says the victim was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. 

TPD's Violent Crimes Unit have assumed control of the scene and investigation.   

At this time they are interviewing all known witnesses and processing the scene.
