TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Shots ring out for the second time this week in a Tallahassee neighborhood.

The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a shooting they believe happened near South Monroe Street and Putnam Drive early Saturday morning. Emergency crews were called to the area of 2526 South Monroe Street at about 4:00 a.m. after a resident heard gunshots in the area.

TPD did not find any victims on scene, but they say they did find evidence of a shooting and they broke up a large crowd of people in an area parking lot.

A few minutes later, police say a man checked himself into a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He reported being shot by an unknown suspect while driving in the area of Jim Lee Road and Orange Avenue, just a few blocks away from where that early morning shooting was first called in.

This comes after a shooting on Texas Street sent one person to the hospital this past Tuesday.
