TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department have identified the black female who was found dead near a swampy area on West Orange Avenue.
Police have identified the victim as 32-year-old Alexandria Reshard. Investigators suspect that foul play is a factor in the death of Reshard.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have recently seen or may have had contact Reshard to please call them at (850) 891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
This is still an active investigation and TPD will provide more information when it becomes available.

They say a black female victim's body was discovered, though they are still working to make an identification.
The case has been assigned to investigators with TPD's Violent Crimes Unit. At this time they are interviewing all known witnesses and processing the scene.

TPD investigates death along West Orange Avenue
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - An investigation is underway after a body was discovered Wednesday night in Tallahassee.
Police are investigating that death along West Orange Avenue that's near the FAMU Community Garden.
WTXL ABC 27's Jada Williams covered this story for us live Thursday morning.
Authorities say the body was found in a wooded area of West Orange Avenue just across the street from Seminole Golf Club.
Tallahassee police arrived on the scene close to 5 p.m. Wednesday. The body was found lying near a swampy area.
There is no word yet on the identity, and in fact no details about the body have been released. Police say they're still working to determine any signs of foul play.
