TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department held a briefing on the deadly shooting at Hot Yoga Tallahassee last week.

Chief Michael DeLeo with TPD said investigators have been working long hours, reviewing thousands of recovered documents, and canvassing all over town trying to piece together a timeline of the 48 hours.

Scott Beierle was in Tallahassee leading up to the deadly shooting.

TPD knows he arrived Halloween night and they're trying to figure out everything he did on November 1.

Beierle once lived in Tallahassee, but had moved to Deltona.

Detectives searched Beierle's home in Deltona and they're waiting on other warrants for phone and bank records, social media sites, and any personal documents.

Chief DeLeo said so far investigators haven't found any connection to Tallahassee, the yoga studio, or anyone who signed up for the class.

TPD has interviewed at least 100 people over the last week and has submitted all forensic evidence to FDLE.

Chief DeLeo said Beierle has a history of inappropriate behavior toward women dating back to his high school years.

He resigned from the Army during an investigation for just that and as we've already reported, TPD arrested him in 2012 and 2016 for battery.

Chief DeLeo stated Beierle was one of the last people to sign up for the yoga class and started shooting within minutes of class starting.
