TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department's specialized "TAC" team took over the hallways of St. John Paul high school as part of an active school shooter training.
The officers had an opportunity to get hands on training with volunteers who turned into actors.
Each actor was given a role detailing if or how they were injured, and what level of pain they are in.
The TAC team includes other emergency medical services in the area.
"Of course we have members of the Tallahassee Fire on our TAC team. It gives them a chance also to go through the training as well as far as triaging patients and actually taking patients in and out of the hot and cold zones." said Tallahassee Police Officer Damon Miller Jr.
TPD says they use venues across the Capital City in order to learn the ins and outs of the buildings.
