TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man has been charged with theft after the public offered the police tips about who pushed a shopping cart with electronics out of a Walmart.
Gerald George faces charges of grand theft, retail theft and resisting an officer, the Tallahassee Police Department said in a Facebook post Tuesday.
George's photo was posted on the TPD's Facebook page on Jan. 5, 2018, following a slug titled "Hey You Didn't Pay!" and a request for the public's help in identifying the man.
Police say employees at the Walmart on Apalachee Parkway tried to stop George but could not.
