TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- The Tallahassee Police Department have arrested three people, now charged with stealing identities to get food stamp benefit cards.
Tallahassee police officers along with investigators from the Department of Children and Families announcing Monday the arrest of Darius Jemmott, Rodrigue Bissainthe, and Dwayne Fanor.
All three have been charged with fraud and identity theft.
Investigators say they trio managed to steal the identities of 54 people to apply for, or redirect food stamp benefit cards.
It's not clear exactly how much money the trio was able to get.
Investigators say once they got the cards the three would either spend the cash themselves or sell the cards on the street.
