Author Harper Lee has finally given over the rights to allow her classic 'To Kill a Mockingbird' to be released as an e-book and digital audio.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, first published in 1960, has sold 30 million copies in English worldwide, been translated into more than 40 languages, and sells more than one million copies each year.
"I'm still old-fashioned. I love dusty old books and libraries," wrote Lee in a release. "This is 'Mockingbird' for a new generation."
The e-book and digital audio, which will be narrated by actress Sissy Spacek, will come out July 8 - the 50th anniversary of the book's original release.
