TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Thursday is Valentine's Day, and at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare they're spreading the love in a way that's sure to make anyone happy.
That's where WTXL ABC 27's Jada Williams was Thursday morning.
For Valentine's Day only, TMH is setting up a kissing booth.
On one end of that booth are cute and cuddly puppies.
All you have to do is show up. You'll get a picture and lots of kisses.
It's the hospital's unique way of showcasing its animal therapy program.
Teams from the program visit hospital patients, rehab center, assisted living, and even schools with the animals as a way to relieve stress.
Known benefits even include lowering blood pressure.
This is the second year the team has highlighted the animals for Valentine's Day, and as you can imagine last year was a hit.
"Stephanie Perkins is director of the Animal Therapy Program at TMH.
"People loved it last year," Perkins said. "Mainly the nurses came down a lot, because they have really stressful jobs. Just to take a moment to get a little puppy love feels really good in the middle of your day."
