TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - We first told you last night about the Tallahassee International Airport suspending flights beginning Sunday night.
At 5:40 Sunday night, the last commercial flight left the Tallahassee airport.
All flights on Monday are cancelled.
According to Airport Director Chris Curry, crews have been securing the facility and equipment to ensure safety and less damage:
"When we determine that the hurricane is gonna threaten the airport," said Curry, "We have to go around and really make sure that all of our facilities are in operational order. Making sure everything is tied down to include jet bridges, signage, anything that can be blown around the airport and cause damage."
Flights will resume as normal on Tuesday, September 12th.
