TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee airport added a new service offering for commuters Thursday: Business and leisure flyers can enjoy a new direct flight to the nation's capital.
"We're very excited this morning we had the first inaugural flight non stop flight to Washington, D.C.," said David Pollard, the interim director of aviation at Tallahassee International Airport. "The public asked and we delivered. "
The tallahassee airport offers the flight in conjuction with american airlines. It eliminates the lenghty layovers that passengers previously endured in atlanta.
The direct flight departs from tallahassee and arrives at the reagan national airport.
