TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Officials at Tallahassee International Airport called a meeting Wednesday.
They discussed several topics, including conversations about JetBlue possibly coming to the airport. Airport officials say that conversations have simmered, but they do continue to meet with the company to discuss future opportunities.
Another big topic being looked at the development of their new custom facility and what the next step for that project will include.
"We went to the commission asked them to expedite the build of the international facility to incorporate a foreign trade zone," said Chris Curry. "The commission was supportive so now we'll see what the next steps are as far as financing the facility and if we can expedite the bill we can have it completed by 2019."
Airport officials will hold another meeting next month. They have not given a specific date.
