WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Crawfordville man has been arrested after he was found with multiple child pornography videos featuring children under the age of 10 on his cell phone.

Merrick Smith, 24, of Crawfordville, Fla., was arrested by FDLE on Friday.

In April, FDLE agents received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children stating the suspect, Smith, was located in Wakulla County.

When agents received a search warrant, they took Smith's cell phone, which contained multiple child pornography videos featuring children under the age of 10.

Smith is being charged with nine counts of possession of child pornography and one count of transmission of child pornography.

Smith was taken to the Wakulla County Jail and additional charges are dependent upon completion of forensic exams.

FDLE says the case will be prosecuted by the State Attorney’s Office, Second Judicial Circuit.
