TIFT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - People in Tift County are remembering a Tifton native who had a big impact on the community.
Dozens gathered at a memorial dedication Sunday to honor Eldra James Litman.
Litman was a coach, teacher, and principal.
He was especially recognized for his work at a local gym and his positive, uplifting personality.
"His support, his beautiful smile, but definitely I would say something that we like to think about are the three E's: How he embraced us, how he empowered us, and how he used to elevate us," said niece Pat McKinnon.
The gym he worked at is now named in his honor.
It's known as the Mott-Litman gym.
