TIFT COUNTY, GA (WTXL) -- A 17-year-old Tifton High School student is dead after a Wednesday morning accident, said the Georgia State Patrol.
Austin King was on his way to school when he was hit by a vehicle. According to troopers, King was skateboarding down Ferry Lake Drive at the time.
The driver of the vehicle said that he did not see King in the road when the accident happened. Troopers say conditions were dark and foggy Wednesday morning.
At this time no charges have been filed against the driver. However, Georgia State Patrol is still investigating.
King was pronounced dead at the scene.
